Dr. Vamshidhar Tirunagari is a Consultant Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon based in Hyderabad, specialising in adult cardiac surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS), and enhanced recovery pathways.

After completing his DrNB in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from the National Board of Examinations (2019) and MBBS from Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences (2013), he built his consultant career across Chennai, Rajahmundry, and Warangal before joining Pulse Heart Super Speciality Hospital in Hyderabad.

His surgical expertise spans off-pump and on-pump CABG, total arterial (BIMA) bypass, valve surgery, MICS, simple congenital cardiac procedures, thoracic surgery, and selected vascular procedures — supported by active research and national conference presentations.

Training

From MBBS to DrNB

Dr. Tirunagari graduated with MBBS from Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences, Narketpally in 2013, followed by superspeciality training culminating in DrNB (Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery) from the National Board of Examinations in 2019.

During his medical training he also completed US clinical internships at University Hospitals Case Medical Center (Cleveland), Louisiana State University (Shreveport), and Rainbow Hospitals (Cleveland) — broadening his clinical perspective early in his career.

Building a multi-centre practice

As Consultant Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon, he served at Santosham Chest Hospital (Chennai), KIMS Rajahmundry, and Ekashilaa (Maxcare) Hospital Warangal — managing a wide spectrum of adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases.

This period sharpened his focus on total arterial CABG, valve surgery, and minimally invasive approaches — while presenting research at IACTSCON, ASCTVS, and VSICON.
